Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026 · What this website stores on your device, and why.

Short version: This marketing site does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. The only thing we store locally is your preferred language and light/dark theme — and that's saved in your browser's localStorage, not in a cookie.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to remember information between visits. Similar local-storage mechanisms (sessionStorage, localStorage, IndexedDB) serve the same purpose using different APIs.

2. What this site stores

Below is the complete list of what phishingtraining.be reads or writes on your device.

WhatWhereWhyLifetime
Language preference (en, nl, or fr) Browser localStorage So the site opens in the language you last chose Until you clear browser data
Theme preference (light or dark) Browser localStorage So the site opens in the theme you last chose Until you clear browser data
Announcement-bar dismissal flag Browser sessionStorage So a dismissed announcement stays dismissed for the session Until you close the browser tab

None of these values leave your device. The marketing site sends no analytics, no advertising pixels, no heatmap scripts, no A/B-testing scripts.

3. What this site does NOT do

For clarity:

4. Google Fonts

We load three font families (Inter, Orbitron, JetBrains Mono) from Google Fonts via fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google does not set cookies when serving font files, but loading the font files will expose your IP address to Google's servers at request time. Google's privacy statement for Fonts is here.

5. If you submit the contact form

When you submit the "book a demo" form, the data you type (name, company, work email, team size, message) is sent to our backend API. This is not a cookie — it's a one-time HTTP request you initiate by clicking the submit button. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to that data after submission.

6. How to clear what's stored

You can clear the language and theme preferences at any time by opening your browser's site-data tools (in Chrome: DevTools → Application → Storage → Clear site data; in Firefox: about:preferences#privacy → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data). The site will keep working — it will simply open in the default language and theme next time.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever add a cookie or a tracker to the site, we will update this page and add an active consent prompt before any non-essential storage is written. We have no current plans to do so.
